SLCC rolled to a dominant win in its Scenic West Athletic Conference home opener, earning a 118-65 win over Colorado Northwestern Community College. The Bruins are now 11-0 overall and 3-0 in Scenic West play.

Salt Lake dominated every facet of the game, taking a 69-27 lead at halftime after shooting 57.5 percent from the field. SLCC's defense was dominant, forcing 21 CNCC turnovers and limiting the Spartans to just 34.8 percent shooting.

Alejandro Vasquez turned in one of the most dominant performances of the season, scoring 31 points and going 7-of-10 from three-point range.
Andre Mulibea had 23 points, while
Jaquan Scott posted 20 points. Other double-digit scorers included:
Jalen Weaver (19 points),
Hunter Erickson (12 points) and
Jaxon Pollard (10 points). Pollard and Scott also had double-doubles, posting 17 and 10 rebounds respectively. Erickson had 11 assists in the win.

Salt Lake will continue Scenic West play this weekend, hosting No. 5 Southern Idaho in an early season matchup of the Region 18 contenders.
