Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 30, 2021) - A hard-fought contest ended in a loss for the No. 3 Salt Lake Community College Women's Soccer program Thursday.
The Bruins, hosting in-state rival Snow College, fought hard against the No. 2 Lady Badgers, eventually falling in a narrow 2-1 battle at Zions Bank Stadium. Salt Lake is now 6-2-1 with the loss, with SLCC falling to 4-2 in Scenic West Athletic Conference matches.
It was Snow who scored to start the match, with SLCC's
Ashlyn Hall scoring on an
Alec Kennington assist to tie the match in the 18th minute. Salt Lake and Snow went to halftime in a 1-1 tie, prior to the Lady Badgers scoring in the 55th minute to take a lead they would never relinquish.
Snow was the aggressor in the match, with the Lady Badgers holding a 13-9 edge in shots on SLCC.
Katrina Gardner did a sterling job at goal for SLCC in the loss, finishing with five saves.
Salt Lake will travel to play USU Eastern on Thursday, Oct. 7.Â
