Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (March 27, 2021) – The No. 1 Salt Lake Community College softball team powered to a sweeping pair of wins on Saturday.

The Bruins earned victories of 6-5 and 16-12Â over Snow College, finishing off a Scenic West Athletic Conference series sweep. Salt Lake is now 26-0 overall and 16-0 in Scenic West play.

SLCC will return home next weekend for a series with Southern Nevada.

Salt Lake 6, Snow 5: A back-and-forth contest ended with the Bruins getting an extra-innings win.
Hola Nakayama hit a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to break a tie, giving SLCC a go-ahead run. Savannah Montoya hit a three-run home run in the seventh inning, with Snow responding immediately. Nakayama went 2-of-4 at the plate,
Bailey Frischknecht threw seven innings, finishing with four strikeouts.

Salt Lake 16, Snow 10: SLCC posted a big inning early, holding on for a win in an offense-heavy game.
The Bruins took an 8-0 lead in the first inning, leading 12-4 after the second inning. In a game that featured a combined 35 hits,
Rylie Bennett and
Rylee Harris-Thorpe both went 3-of-4 at the plate to lead Salt Lake. SLCC finished with eight extra-base hits in the game.Â
