In the case of the No. 1 Salt Lake Community College softball team, the Bruins earned a sweep of in-state rival Snow College in a Scenic West Athletic Conference doubleheader Friday, waiting out actual snow to earn victories of 10-8 and 12-4. The wins boost SLCC to 24-0 overall and 14-0 in Scenic West play.

Salt Lake will face off against Snow in another doubleheader Saturday. The Bruins will return home on April 2 for a series against Southern Nevada. Â

Salt Lake 10, Snow 6: A back-and-forth affair ended with the Bruins earning a comeback win.

Snow scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning to take an early 3-2 lead, with the Bruins going on an 8-0 run to power to control from there. Offensive highlights in the game included a
Brylee Marziale-Hill hitting a three-run home run in the third inning and
Hola Nakayama hitting a solo home run in the fifth inning.

Mercedes Call led the Bruins at the plate, going 3-of-5.
Rylie Bennett also went 3-of-5 and had 3 RBI's.
Nya Laing earned the pitching win, striking out a pair of Snow batters.

Salt Lake 12, Snow 4: The Bruins scored in bunches, closing the game with nine runs in the final three innings.

SLCC posted 14 hits in the game, as
Rylee Harris-Thorpe hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning. Call went 4-of-4 in the game, while Harris-Thorpe went 3-of-4 with 4 RBI's.
Kaytlyn Cripps was 2-of-4.
