Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (March 20, 2021) – The No. 2 Salt Lake Community College softball team didn't allow adverse weather to hinder their efforts Saturday, moving to another sweep of a Scenic West Athletic Conference doubleheader.

The Bruins earned wins of 18-8 and 16-5 over USU Eastern, staying unbeaten on the season and in Scenic West Athletic Conference play. Salt Lake moved to 22-0 overall and 12-0 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play with the win.

SLCC will play on the road next weekend, playing at Snow College.

Salt Lake 18, USU Eastern 8: A few big innings lifted the Bruins to the game-one win.

SLCC opened the game with a six-run performance in the first inning, with the Bruins scoring five-or-more runs in three separate innings. Highlight offensive plays included
Bailee Noland hitting three home runs, while Brylee Marizale-Hill hit a pair of home runs.Â
Â
Noland was 3-of-5 with seven RBI, while
Mackenzy Richins was 4-of-5.
Mercedes Call was 4-of-6.Â

Salt Lake 16, USU Eastern 5: Salt Lake scored in each inning of the run-rule victory, posting 16 hits.

The Bruins got on the board early, scoring three runs in the top frame of the first inning to seize early momentum. SLCC closed out the win by scoring ten runs in the final two innings.Â

Bailee Noland had another multi-home run game, with
Rylee Harris-Thorpe and
Josee Haycock also hitting long balls. SLCC had a total of nine extra-base hits in the win.
Rylie Bennett was a perfect 3-of-3 at the plate, finishing with a trio of RBI's.Â

Alyssa Millemon earned the pitching win for Salt Lake, throwing five innings and striking out six USU Eastern batters.Â
