Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (March 19, 2021) – The No. 2 Salt Lake Community College softball team opened up a Scenic West Athletic Conference road series Friday victoriously, thanks to a doubleheader sweep.
 
The Bruins, on the road at USU Eastern, earned a sweep with a 8-6 win in game one and a 10-5 victory in game two. Salt Lake's overall record is now 20-0 and 10-0 in Scenic West play with the victories.
 
SLCC and USU Eastern will play another doubleheader Saturday.
 
Salt Lake 8, USU Eastern 6: The Bruins had to muster a late comeback to earn the win in the day's first game.

USU Eastern built up a 6-4 lead entering the sixth inning, with the Bruins scoring four runs in the inning to power to the win. Savannah Montoya hit a grand-slam home run in the comeback, going 2-of-4 at the plate. Brylee Marziale-Hill and Allie Laub both went 2-of-3. 
 
Salt Lake 10, USU Eastern 5: A back-and-forth start ended with the Bruins posting three unanswered runs to power to the win.

SLCC scored runs in each inning, taking their first lead in the third inning. Hola Nakayama was the featured player in the win, finishing 3-of-4 at the plate while Montoya went 2-of-3. Kaytlyn Cripps had a 2-of-4 performance while have a team-high 3 RBI's.
