No. 9 SLCC Softball downs CNCC to sweep series

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (February 29, 2020) – Run-rule victories continued for the No. 9 Salt Lake Community College softball team Saturday.
 
The Bruins earned victories of 16-5 and 35-1 in a doubleheader against Colorado Northwestern Community College, sweeping the four-game series. SLCC is now 10-4 and 4-0 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
 
SLCC will play its home-opening series next weekend at Norma Carr Field, hosting the College of Southern Idaho. The two teams will play doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday. 
 
Salt Lake 16, Colorado Northwestern 5: A bevy of home runs lifted the Bruins to a run-rule win in the day's first game.
 
Kamora Masina hit a grand-slam in the fifth inning, part of  several home runs. Mia Cullimore hit two home runs in the game, including a two-run homer in the first inning. 
 
Salt Lake 35, Colorado Northwestern 1: SLCC put up 11 runs in the first inning and never looked back.
