TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (November 26, 2019) - The Salt Lake Community College men's basketball program utilized a one-game week last week to refresh and revitalize its players.

Now the Bruins will prepare for their annual Thanksgiving weekend tourney, hosting Northeastern Junior College on Friday and Western Wyoming Community College on Saturday. The two-game tournament will start a string of three-straight weekends of tournaments for Salt Lake.

SLCC coach Kyle Taylor said the tournament will feature exciting basketball.

"We have a big week with two good teams coming to Salt Lake City," he said. "With us and Snow College, there will be four really good basketball games played on Friday and Saturday. Northeastern is undefeated and Western Wyoming only has one loss; both are very talented and will be great tests for us. We are going to have to play really good basketball to win this weekend."

Northeastern has gone 6-0 to start the 2019-20 season, coming off an 84-80 victory over Williston State College. Western Wyoming is 5-1 with a loss against Western Nebraska Community College. 

Salt Lake will play Northeastern on Friday at 7:00 p.m., with a Saturday matchup against Western Wyoming at 7:00 p.m.
