Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (November 16, 2019) – The No. 21 Salt Lake Community College men's basketball team closed a preseason tournament with a victory Saturday.

The Bruins earned a 101-76Â win over Lamar Community College, closing out a three-game tournament hosted by Snow College. The win lifts SLCC's overall record to 5-2.

SLCC took a 47-39 halftime lead over Lamar, shooting 53.1 percent and making 9-of-13 free-throw attempts. The Bruins dominated the paint throughout the game, finishing with a 52-32 advantage in points-in-the-paint. Salt Lake also forced 18 turnovers, holding a 30-12 advantage in points-off-turnovers. SLCC shot a sizzling 70 percent in the second half, making 21-of-30 shots.Â
Fresh off signing at BYU,
Spencer Johnson scored 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting.
Asa McCord had 14 points, with
Justice Hill and
James Lee finishing with 13 points.
Matt Gray was Salt Lake's other double-digit scorer with 10 points.Â
