Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 2, 2018) - The Salt Lake Community College women's soccer team earned a strong victory over Sheridan College Sunday.
The Bruins, playing their third match in six days, beat Sheridan College 5-0 at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman, moving their record to 5-0 on the season. With the win, Salt Lake stretched its goal differential to 24-0 on the season.
Samantha Tippetts scored the first goal for Salt Lake at the 22:56 mark, with the Bruins leading 1-0 at halftime. The Bruins exploded for four goals in the second half, with
Sydney Hathaway scoring a goal in the 52nd minute.
Zoe Moses scored a goal 12 minutes later, with
Baylie Saunders and
Litzy Serna posting goals later in the half. SLCC held a 19-4 advantage in shots-on-goal.Â
Salt Lake has multiple weeks off, as a previously-scheduled matchup with Colorado Northwestern was canceled as the Spartans dropped their women's program. SLCC will now start its Scenic West Athletic Conference schedule on Sept. 14 with weekend matchups against USU Eastern.Â
