Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (April 28, 2018) -Â The Salt Lake Community College baseball program continues to improve as the regular-season finale draws near, leaving questions of how far the Bruins can go in the postseason.
Salt Lake hasn't lost a series in over a month, powering to series victories over rival programs in the Scenic West Athletic Conference. The Bruins powered to another series win Saturday, besting the College of Southern Nevada 4-1 in game one of a doubleheader. While SLCC fell in game two of the series, 6-1, Salt Lake finished the series against CSN at 3-1.
Salt Lake will face Colorado Northwestern in its final regular-season series next weekend. The Bruins and Spartans will play at Colorado Northwestern in a four-game series, with doubleheaders scheduled for Friday and Saturday.Â
Salt Lake 4, Southern Nevada 1: Salt Lake continued its strong run against the Coyotes, utilizing strong pitching to earn the victory.

In the sixth inning, still tied at 1-1, Brook hit a three-run home run to right-field, giving Salt Lake a comfortable margin. Brook went 1-for-2 in the game, batting in three runs.Â
Jason James earned the victory on the mound for Salt Lake, surrendering one run in six innings of work. James struck out nine batters, spreading five hits over his innings of work.
Southern Nevada 6, Salt Lake 1: Early offense helped the Southern Nevada Coyotes power past the Bruins.
The Coyotes scored runs in the first two innings, taking a 4-0 lead after the fourth inning. Trailing 5-0, Salt Lake scored its lone run in the fifth inning as
