Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (April 20, 2018) - The Salt Lake Community College softball program has already dealt with plenty of weather this season.

The Bruins have had sites change, dates change and game times change in order to avoid looming weather conditions across the Intermountain West. Friday, in the second game of a four-game Scenic West Athletic Conference series at in-state rival Snow College, Salt Lake had game two delayed late with a SLCC lead. Salt Lake beat Snow in game one, 9-4, and holds a 6-3 lead in game two, which will be finished Saturday. 

SLCC and Snow College will finish game two Saturday, with a full doubleheader following.

Salt Lake 9, Snow College 4: An early offensive burst lifted the Bruins to a series-opening win at Snow College.

SLCC scored five runs in the first inning, stretching the lead to 6-2 in the third inning after a Kynra Nelson RBI double. However, as has happened so many times this season, the show was stolen by Salt Lake's Ashlee Snyder, who hit two home runs on the day to move her season tally to 25 homers.

Snyder's first home run came in the fourth inning, a solo home run to left-center that lifted Salt Lake to a 7-2 lead. Her second home run came in the sixth inning, with a solo shot that established a 9-2 Bruins victory.

Kiara Grover earned the win inside the circle for Salt Lake, helping the Bruins to a mark of 22-7 in the SWAC.

Salt Lake 6, Snow College 3: A late tie game turned into a Bruins lead before weather conditions forced the postponement of the game's conclusion.

Game two will conclude Saturday before the playing of the regularly-scheduled doubleheader.
