Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (March 30, 2018) - Don't look at the No. 7 Salt Lake Community College Bruins if you're looking for complacency.
After building a 12-game winning streak, it would have been easy to expect the Bruins would show some type of rust, especially as they traveled on the road to face previously-winless Colorado Northwestern Community College. However, of all the things that traveled for the Bruins - timely hitting, quality pitching, solid defense - complacency wasn't one of them as Salt Lake rolled to a doubleheader sweep of CNCC, 21-1 and ().
With the wins, Salt Lake has moved its record to 16-2 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play. The Bruins also stretched their winning streak to 14 games, with an overall record of 22-7.
Salt Lake will play another doubleheader against Colorado Northwestern on Saturday. The day's first pitch is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. in Rangely, Colo.

Ashlee Snyder two-run home run in the first inning filled the Bruins' sails full of momentum as they rolled to a blowout game one victory.
Salt Lake led 4-0 after the top of the first inning, thanks to the Snyder shot to right-field and a
Sara Bendt triple. The Bruins extended the lead to 12-0 after the third inning as
Laina SueSue had a two-RBI double to key the run.Â
Leading 12-1 entering the fifth inning, SLCC had a rare back-to-back home run performance as
Taylor Sorenson hit a three-run shot to center field, followed up by a solo home run by
Breah Ava to left field. To recap, the Bruins scored nine runs in the inning.
Coming off a weekend that earned her SWAC weekly honors, Salt Lake pitcher
Kiara Grover earned the victory in the circle.
