Game 1 Recap:Karly Bunderson drove in three runs as Salt lake Community College took home a 9-5 victory over Yavapai in seven innings on Saturday. Bunderson singled in the first and second innings and doubled in the sixth inning.
Paige Reimann got the win for Salt Lake. She allowed two runs over 3 1/3 innings. She struck out four, walked one and surrendered four hits.
The Bruins led the entire game. Yavapai tried to make something happen in the fourth and fifth but they just could not hold off SLCC. Salt Lake added four more runs in the bottom of the sixth cementing the win.
Courtney Beavers started the inning with a double, bringing home
Tina Ford. That was followed up by
Karly Bunderson's double, plating
Courtney Beavers.

Game 2 Recap:With the score tied at three,
Corinne Cleverly came to the plate and singled, pulling in
Tina Ford, to put Salt Lake ahead in their overall 7-3 victory over Arizona Western.
The Bruins were led by
KyRae Kogianes, who went three-of-four, drove in one and scored two runs. She doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the second and fifth innings.
Baylee Reeves kept contact to a minimum, striking out six Arizona Western batters. Reeves allowed no earned runs, six hits and one walk over seven innings.
Arizona Westerns jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the first. SLCC put up runs in the bottom of the second, fourth, and fifth to tie the game until eventually coming out on top with four runs in the sixth.
The Bruins will play their first home games of the season February 27
th and 28
th when they face Snow College. The teams will play double-headers each day. First game on the 27
th begins at 1 p.m. and on the 28
th the first game begins at 12 p.m.Â
