Ephraim, UT—The SLCC softball team (17-11, 15-8 SWAC) split a doubleheader with in-state rival Snow College (14-16, 11-15 SWAC) on Saturday in Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) play. The Bruins lost game one 3-1 and won a 14-4 decision by run rule in the day's second contest. SLCC now leads the season series with Snow College 3-1.

Game 1 Stats: Freshman catcher KyRae Kogianes (Riverton, UT) was 2-for-3 and freshman pitcher Courtney Platt (Riverton, UT) took the loss.

Game 2 Stats: Freshman pitcher Baylee Reeves (Brigham City, UT) earned the win and freshman catcher Riana Splinter (Las Vegas, NV) was 2-for-3 with five runs batted in to help SLCC to the road win. Freshman infielder Bailie Nelson was 2-for-3 at the plate.

Next up for Head Coach Cyndee Bennett and the Bruins is a road trip to Rangely, CO for a doubleheader with Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) (1-24, 1-19 SWAC) on Friday, Mar. 21. First pitch for game one is slated for 1 p.m. with the day's second contest beginning 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first matchup.
