Salt Lake City, UT—The No. 3-ranked SLCC Softball team (29-4, 23-1 SWAC) completed a sweep of its weekend series with Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) opponent Colorado Northwestern CC (CNCC) (0-24, 0-24 SWAC) with a pair of wins on Saturday. The Bruins topped the Spartans 8-0 in game one and won game two 5-1.

The games were played at Roy High School for the second consecutive day due to unplayable conditions at Bruin Field as a result of overnight snow. SLCC extends its win streak to nine contests with the pair of victories.

Bruin sophomore pitcher MaCauley Flint (Roy, UT) followed up Friday's perfect game with a no-hitter in game one, striking out seven Spartan batters. Sophomore catcher/first baseman Lyndsey Healey (Spanish Fork, UT) was 2-for-2 at the plate with a single and a double and sophomore catcher Susan Duke (Salt Lake City, UT) was 2-for-3 with one RBI. Freshman infielder Payton Palmer (Roy, UT) was 1-for-2 with two RBIs.

Freshman pitcher Alex Petrolia (Henderson, NV) picked up the game two win with six strikeouts and three hits allowed and Healey was 2-for-3 with a home run in the winning effort.

Next up for Head Coach Mary Kay Amicone and the Bruins is a road doubleheader against SWAC opponent North Idaho College (11-16, 8-12 SWAC) on Friday, Mar. 29 with first pitch slated for 1:00 p.m. Pacific.
