St. George, UT—The
No. 1-ranked SLCC Softball team (12-3, 6-0 SWAC) picked up a pair of wins over Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) opponent North Idaho College (NIC) (3-6, 0-2 SWAC) on Friday. The Bruins outscored the Cardinals 27-5 in the doubleheader, winning game one 11-5 and game two 16-0. With the pair of neutral-site victories, SLCC extends it win streak to 10 games.
In game one, sophomore pitcher
MaCauley Flint (Roy, UT) struck out seven NIC batters to pick up the win, improving her win-loss mark to 4-1 on the season. Sophomore outfielder
Tanisha Anderson (Murray, UT) was 3-for-3 at the plate with a double and a three-run home run. Freshman infielder
Taylor Tann (Syracuse, UT) was 4-for- 4 batting with a two-RBI double. Sophomore catcher
Lynsdey Healey (Spanish Fork, UT) also hit a three-run home run as the Bruins scored seven runs in the second inning.

Kailey Christensen (Spanish Fork, UT) tallied the win in game two of the doubleheader, striking out nine Cardinal hitters. Sophomore outfielder
Malia Campos (Murray, UT) was 2-for-2 at the plate with a triple and sophomore infielder
Maddy Woodard (Murray, UT) was two 2-for-2 batting with two RBI. Sophomore infielder
Whitney Holt (Tooele, UT) was 2-for-4 hitting with two doubles and three RBI and
Anderson was 2-for-2 in the winning effort.
