Salt Lake City, UT—The No. 15-ranked SLCC Men's Basketball team (20-3, 8-1 SWAC) defeated Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) opponent Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) (7-17, 0-9 SWAC) 86-77 on Thursday night at Bruin Arena. SLCC shot 53.7% from the field and out-rebounded the Spartans 37-33 in the win.

Bruin freshman forward Sai Tummala (Phoenix, AZ) led the Bruins with 16 points and had six rebounds in the winning effort. Freshman forward Casey Oliverson (Hyde Park, UT) tallied 14 points to go with four rebounds and sophomore guard Skyler Halford (Orem, UT) added 12 points to go with four assists and four rebounds.

Next up for Head Coach Todd Phillips and the Bruins is a matchup with USU-Eastern (13-10, 3-5 SWAC) on Saturday, Feb. 2 at Bruin Arena. The game takes place on Shoot Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Night for the Bruins, with autographed basketballs and shooting shirts being auctioned to support the fight against cancer. Proceeds go to the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
