Rangeley, CO—The SLCC Men's Basketball team (17-2, 5-0 SWAC) won its 13th straight ballgame by defeating Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) opponent Colorado Northwestern CC (CNCC) (7-13, 0-5 SWAC) 100-62 on Saturday. SLCC scored 64 points in the second half and out-rebounded the Spartans 49-26 overall.

The 13 consecutive SLCC wins mark the team's longest streak of victories since the Bruins opened the season unbeaten at 12-0 last year. The win streak is the eighth longest such streak in NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball.

Bruin sophomore guard Skyler Halford (Orem, UT) scored a team-high 18 points and had nine rebounds and freshman forward Sai Tummala (Phoenix, AZ) added 17 points in the winning effort. Freshman guard Gary Payton II (Las Vegas, NV) made three of his four three point attempts, scoring 14 points to go with eight rebounds.

Next up for Head Coach Todd Phillips and the Bruins is a road matchup with in-state rival Snow College (14-4, 2-2 SWAC) on Saturday, Jan. 19 at 5:00 p.m. in Ephraim, UT.
