Salt Lake City- The 5th ranked SLCC Baseball team fell 10-6 and 4-3 to Western Nevada to close out the regular season.  The Bruins secured the SWAC title with a series split and will host the Region 18 Tournament beginning on May 9th.  Salt Lake's record stands at 40-8 overall and 31-6 in conference play.
 
Kennedy Kinkade provided plenty of offensive power for Salt Lake in the 10-6 loss.  Kinkade finished the game with five RBI on a three run home run and a two run home run.  Ruddy Acosta took the loss going three innings allowing five runs.
 
Kinkade stayed hot in game two blasting a solo home run in the 7th to bring the Bruins within one run of WNC.  Western scored all four of their runs in the first inning and Salt Lake came up one run short in the 7th inning comeback.  Dominique Taylor drove home a run on a RBI single in the first inning.
