Salt Lake City- The fourth ranked Salt Lake Community College Softball team swept a doubleheader over Colorado Northwestern 11-0 and 9-0. The Burin held CNCC to just one hit over 10 innings of play. The two game sweep moves Salt Lakes record to 27-6 overall and 18-4 in conference play.
MaCauley Flint got the game one win going three innings not allowing a hit with five strike outs. The Bruin bats combined for 11 hits with
Trina Gomez going 2 for 2 and
Maddy Woodard was 1 for 2 with a double.
Ariel Zimmerman and
Kylee Colvin combined to no hit CNCC with Zimmerman striking out six and Colvin with two strikeouts. Salt Lake picked up 12 hits and five extra base hits. Woodard was 2 for 2 with a two run home run,
Mylee Davis knocked a double and
Brooke Budge was 2 for 3 with a double.
The Bruins conclude the series with a double header set for tomorrow at noon.
