Casper, WY—The Salt Lake Community College Men's Basketball team (4-1) fell to Western Nebraska Community College (WNCC) (3-1) 82-76 on Saturday at the Casper College Classic. The Bruins held a 37-30 lead at the half, but couldn't get enough stops down the stretch as WNCC shot 48% from the field to outscore the Bruins by 13 in the second half. WNCC handed SLCC its first loss of the 2012-13 season.
 
SLCC sophomore forward Sai Tummala (Phoenix, AZ) scored 22 points on 9-of-15 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds in the losing effort. Freshman forward Casey Oliverson (Hyde Park, UT) and freshman guard Gary Payton, II (Las Vegas, NV) each scored 11 points and sophomore guard Skyler Halford (Orem, UT) scored 13 points and dished out four assists.
 
Next up for Head Coach Todd Phillips and the Bruins is a matchup with No. 4-ranked Indian Hills CC on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at Bruin Arena. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. as the Bruins will take on their second ranked opponent of the season.
