Salt Lake City – The second ranked SLCC Bruin Softball team completed the four game sweep of Southern Nevada winning 6-2 and 10-3. The Bruins are now 42-6 overall and 34-2 in Scenic West action.
Ariel Zimmerman struck out 14 batters while allowing just four hits in game one. Krystin Jachim was 2 for 4 with a double, Savannah Webster went 4 for 4 with two RBI and Brooke Budge was 2 for 2.
Salt Lake scored five runs in the first and third to take the 10-3 win. Jachim and Webster combined to go 5 for 8 with five RBI's and two home runs to lead the Bruins. Brooke Budge was 2 for 2 with a double and Becky Simonson drove home two runs with a triple.
No. 2 Salt Lake receives a bye next weekend before heading to Ephraim to face Snow College on April 29th and 30th.
