SALT LAKE CITY- The second ranked Salt Lake Community College Softball team ripped 22 runs off 17 hits to defeat Southern Nevada 10-2 & 12-0.  The Bruins improve to 40-6 on the season and 32-2 in conference play.

 

Ariel Zimmerman struck out seven batters on her way to her 20th win of the season.  Kylee Bufton started the scoring with a two run home run in the second inning.  Madi White went 2 for 2 with 2 RBI, Shay Wallace was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI and Krystin Jachim smoked a double to drive home a run. 

 

In game two Becky Simonson was 3 for 3 while Shay Wallace went 1 for 2 with a double and 3 RBI.  Kylee Colvin got the win going four innings and Dezlee Roberts closed the game with a hitless fifth inning.

 

No. 2 SLCC looks for the four game sweep tomorrow when these same two team meet at Bruin Field starting at noon.
