RANGLEY, CO – The fifth ranked Salt Lake Community College Softball team completed the sweep of Colorado Northwestern winning 24-0 & 17-2. The Bruins pounded out 51 hits over 11 innings of play with 41 runs crossing the plate. Salt Lake is now 30-6 overall and 22-2 in conference play.
In game one Arield Zimmerman allowed one hit while striking out nine batters in five innings of work. At the plate Zimmerman mashed two homeruns with five RBI's. Starlee Hutchings joined the homerun party knocking three homeruns with six RBI's and Dezlee Roberts connected on two homeruns with four RBI's. The Bruins gathered 27 hits with 14 extra basehits and eight homeruns.
Kylee Colvin got the win in the final game of the series allowing two runs on four hits. Krystin Jachim and Savanah Webster led the offensive charge for Salt Lake. Jachim was 4 for 5 with a three run home run and Webster was 4 for 5 with a two run homerun. Madi White was a perfect 5 for 5 with three RBI's and a two run homerun.
