Softball mashes 31 hits in two wins over CNCC

RANGLEY, CO – The fifth ranked SLCC Bruin Softball team used 31 hits and seven home runs to cruise past Colorado Northwestern 21-1 & 6-2.  The wins takes the Bruins record to 28-6 overall and 20-2 in conference play. 

 

Ariel Zimmerman struck out seven batters in three innings of work to get the win in game one.  The Bruins knocked five home runs in the game led by Dezlee Roberts with two home runs and five RBI's.  Krystin Jachim hit a solo shot, Savanah Webster knocked a three run home run and DJ Richardson hit a two run home run.  Madi White was a perfect 4 for 4 at the plate with a double. 

 

Kylee Colvin allowed one earned run in game two to pick up the win.  Jachim added to the home run total with two solo shots in the game.  Webster was 3 for 4, Kylee Bufton was 3 for 4 and Brooke Budge and Shay Wallace each hit a double. 

 

Salt Lake finishes the series with Colorado Northwestern tomorrow in Rangley Colorado at noon
