LAS VEGAS, NV- The SLCC Softball team took two wins over Southern Nevada 8-2 and 20-9. The SLCC bats connected on seven home runs over the two game out scoring Nevada 28-11. With the wins Salt Lake moves to 20-6 overall and 12-2 in conference play.
Ariel Zimmerman struck out eight batters in the 8-2 win in game one. DJ Richardson smacked two homeruns driving in four runs, Kylee Brinkerhoff was 2 for 4 with a double, Krystin Jachim hit a 2 run homerun and Kylee Bufton hit a solo home run.
In game two Bufton led the charge going 4 for 5 with eight RBI's including a grand slam, two run homerun and a triple. Brinkerhoff was 4 for 5, Savanah Webster went 3 for 3 with two doubles and three RBI and Shay Wallace hit her second homerun of the season going 3 for 4
