TWIN FALLS, ID – The Salt Lake Community College Softball team split the double header and series against Southern Idaho in Twin Falls.  Salt Lake won game one 9-1 in five innings and fell in the second game 6-3  Salt Lake's record is 18-6 overall and 10-2 in conference play.

The Bruins scored seven runs in the third inning to take a 9-1 win over Southern Idaho.  Salt Lake registered 12 hits led by Kylee Brinkerhoff (2 for 3, 3 RBI, HR), Savannah Webster (2 for 2), Kylee Bufton (2 for 3, 2 RBI) and Starlee Hutchings (2 for 2, 2 RBI).  Ariel Zimmerman held CSI to three hits over five innings with eight strikeouts.

 

In game two of the double header, CSI scored four runs in the thrid inning to take the 6-3 win.  Salt Lake loaded the bases in the 7th inning but failed to push the runs across the plate.  Webster went 3 for 4, Bufton drove in two runs going 2 for 3 in the game.
