SALT LAKE CITY (May 14, 2010) – The number one ranked SLCC Bruin softball team came from behind to defeat Southern Idaho 8-7 in eight innings.  Salt Lake is now 58-3 overall and will take on the winner between Snow College and Southern Idaho in the Region 18 Championship game. 

Salt Lake was down three runs heading into the seventh inning when freshmen Krystin Jachim hit a three run home run to tie the game at sevens. In the eighth inning Salt Lake held Southern Idaho giving way to a solo walk off home run by Cyd Allen.  All three SLCC pitchers made an appearance with Jordyn McDonald getting the win going four innings.
