HENDERSON, Nevada (May 13, 2010) – The Salt Lake Community College Baseball team defeated Western Nevada by a score of 6-3 to advance to the semi-finals of the Region 18 Tournament.

The SLCC pitching staff was the difference maker in the game with Tyson Memmott going five innings with five strikeouts, Brett Nathan got the win throwing one inning and Mike Edstrom got the save throwing three innings with six strikeouts.  With the game tied at three apiece in the sixth inning Zack Swasey drove in two runs to take the lead finishing the day 2-5.  Ducan Blades hit a two RBI double and Tyson Littlewood was 2-5 with a homerun. 

Salt Lake will play number one seed Southern Nevada today at 1 pm.
