SLCC Softball Battles to win Tournament Opener

SALT LAKE CITY (May 13, 2010) – The number one ranked SLCC Bruins opened up the Region 18 Tournament with a 4-3 win over Snow College.  The Bruins are 57-3 overall and will face Southern Idaho in the semi-final game tomorrow at 2:30 pm at Bruin Field.

 

Jordyn McDonald allowing five hits over five innings to get the win and Reilee O'Brien closed it out with two shutout innings.  Katelyn Elliott drove in two runs with a double in the bottom of the third inning.  Erika James was 2-3 with two singles and McDonald was 2-2 with two singles.
