SLCC Softball Survives the Rain to sweep CNCC

SALT LAKE CITY (March 13, 2010) – On a cold and rainy day the SLCC Bruin softball team won their 31st game of the year by defeating Colorado Northwestern 12-1. The second game of the doubleheader was cancelled due to wet field conditions. The Bruins are 31-0 overall and 19-0 in conference play.
 
Reilee O'Brien got the win going three innings allowing no hits while striking out five. At the plate Salt Lake collected 12 hits with Jordyn McDonald hitting a three run home run finishing with five RBIs. Katelyn Elliott was 2-2 with a double and Erika James hit a bases clearing double to pick up three RBIs.
 
The Bruins (31-0, 19-0 SWAC) hit the road to face second place North Idaho Cardinals (21-11, 14-6 SWAC) on March 19th and 20th
