Bruin Softball surges past CSI

ST. GEORGE, Utah (February 12, 2010) – The SLCC Bruin Softball team extended their winning streak to 18 games with a 2-1 and 9-0 wins over College of Southern Idaho.
With game one tied at one apiece in the bottom of the sixth catcher Cyd Allen launched a solo home run to give Salt Lake the one run lead. Reilee O'Brien retired the side in the seventh to secure the win for Salt Lake. 
Sophomore pitcher Jordyn McDonald threw a no hitter in the second game of the day striking out nine batters in five innings. While the SLCC bats connected on seven hits scoring nine runs. Katelyn Elliott was 2-3 with an RBI, Kylee Bufton hit an RBI triple and Stacie Graham picked up two RBI's.
The Bruins (18-0, 6-0 SWAC) square off against College of Southern Idaho (13-7, 4-3 SWAC) again for a double header tomorrow in St George Utah.
