West Jordan, Utah- Salt Lake baseball (31-13) won 6-5 versus CSI (39-11).
RHP Easton Davies (5-1) blanked the Golden Eagles pitching five scoreless innings in his return. Davies allowed four hits, two walks, and struck out six batters. LHP Mason Green followed suit with three scoreless innings pitched in relief. CSI almost mounted a comeback as they scored five runs in the top of the ninth. RHP Ryan Reynolds came in for Salt Lake with one out in the ninth and retired both of the batters he faced to earn the save.
Drew Smith brought in Tyler West with an RBI single in the bottom of the first. Lute Chavez hit a solo home run in the fourth inning. The Bruins scored four runs in the sixth off a two-RBI double from AJ Thomas and a two-run home run from Willy Roberts.
