Salt Lake City, Utah- No. 13 SLCC Softball (22-8) was back in action against CSI (23-10) after a week off.
The Bruins won game one of the series 7-6 in ten innings. Salt Lake scored the first five runs of the game. Southern Idaho scored the next six runs in the game. CSI tied the game and then took the lead after their second sac-fly in the top of the seventh. SS Jazmine Prathan was clutch as she brought in the tying run in the bottom of the seventh with an RBI single.
RHP Aubrie Hansen shut down CSI in extra innings and Prathan walked it off for the Bruins with another clutch RBI single.
CSI won game two 9-6. The Golden Eagles scored a run in the first inning and plated six runs in the second inning as the Bruins committed multiple errors in the inning. The Bruins scored three runs in the third and three runs in the sixth. Salt Lake had the game tying run up to bat in the seventh, but couldn't pull off a rally. 1B Hannah Barlow homered in the loss.
