Game Recap: Softball | | Spencer Porter

SLCC Softball Come up Short in Double Header at CSI

Twin Falls, IDAHO- No. 18 SLCC Softball lost both games of Friday's double header to No. 24 CSI. 

The Bruins lost game one 9-4 to the Golden Eagles. CSI scored three runs in innings three, four, and five. DP Lafiana Fifita hit a three-run home run in the top of the fifth for Salt Lake. Aubrie Hansen surrendered nine runs (7 earned) and received the loss. Hansen recorded 7 strikeouts in her 4.2 IP outing.

SLCC lost the second game 13-8. CSI put up six runs in the bottom of the third and led 6-0. The Bruins scored three runs in both the fourth and fifth innings. Fifita continued to slug as she homered in each inning. Baylee Martinez and Jettlee Ioane recorded RBI doubles for Salt Lake. The Golden Eagles responded well as they scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth and added four runs in the bottom of the six to put the game out of reach.

SLCC Softball have another double header on Saturday March 7th against CSI to wrap up the four game series.
