West Jordan, Utah- No. 20 Salt Lake Baseball (15-7) lost 6-2 to Colorado Northwestern Community College (10-19) in ten innings.
The SWAC opener was a low scoring affair through nine innings until the Spartans captured the win after scoring four runs in the top of the tenth. Both starting pitchers were fabulous as Jamison Vigil gave up only one run and tossed seven innings for CNCC and Easton Davies allowed one run in six innings of work for Salt Lake.
The Bruins tied the game at 2-2 in the eighth when AJ Thomas was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Salt Lake couldn't take the lead after threatening some more in the eighth and in the ninth inning. CNCC hit a solo home run in the fourth and in the seventh.
