West Jordan, Utah- No. 20 Salt Lake Baseball (15-6) snapped Northeastern Junior College's (16-8) winning streak as the Bruins won both games of today's doubleheader.
The Bruins took game one 7-1. RHP Case Beames picked up the win as he allowed one run, one hit, and struck out three batters in five solid innings. RHP Easton Comer who hasn't given up a run yet this season pitched a scoreless sixth and seventh for Salt Lake.
SS Drew Smith stayed hot offensively as he recorded a two RBI double and hit a solo home run. 3B Riley Brown hit a +400 foot home run over the center field fence to boost the Bruins lead in the bottom of the sixth. Smith and CF Tyler West both scored two runs.
Salt Lake won game two 4-2. LHP Colby Chambers got the start for the Bru Cru and surrendered one run while striking out five in four innings of work. RHP Easton Davies pitched 3.2 innings and earned the win. Davies allowed one run and struck out three batters. RHP Connor Drachman got the four out save and recorded two K's.
1B Kaden Hudson hit a two-run home run in the second inning to give Salt Lake an early lead. 2B Gage Wareham brought in Tyler West with a sac-fly in the third. Northeastern scored two runs in the fifth making the score 3-2. Drew Smith brought in West in the sixth with an RBI single. Both teams threatened to score in the final three innings of the game, but stranded baserunners.

The Bru Cru play another doubleheader on Sunday, March 15th against Northeastern Junior College. First pitch of the doubleheader is at noon at Cate Field.
