Salt Lake, Utah- No. 24 SLCC Women's Basketball (18-7) avenged their January 3rd loss to USU-Eastern and won 58-46 over the first-place Eagles (17-8). The Bruins are now (7-3) in SWAC play.
Salt Lake led 47-42 at the end of the third quarter. The Bruins clamped the Eagles in the fourth quarter as USU-Eastern shot 1-20 in the last ten minutes.
Tahys Da Silva made three first half three-pointers on her way to a game-high 15 points. Ahnica Russell-Brown followed with 14 points on 6-10 shooting.
Ines Babaya and Maria Ignatchenko combined for 17 bench points. Lyla Kahrimanovic recorded game-highs of 9 rebounds and 5 assists. As a team Salt Lake was 12-14 from the line.
Skylie Barker led the Eagles in the loss with 12 points.
