Salt Lake, UTAH- Salt Lake Men's Basketball (8-9) won 81-62 against North Idaho College (10-7) in the Bruins SWAC home opener.
Makuei Riek led SLCC with a double-double as he recorded 18 points and 11 rebounds. Danny Young Jr. added 15 points and six boards. Daye Kaba was solid off the bench once again as he scored 14 points on 5-8 shooting before fouling out. Nick Jefferson tallied 10 points and five assists in the win.
The Bruins had 12 steals and forced 22 NIC turnovers. The Cardinals had 25 offensive rebounds, but went 20-67 (29.9%) on field goals. SLCC shot 30-68 (44.1%) from the field.
