TWIN FALLS, Idaho- No. 2 seed Salt Lake beat No. 3 seed Snow College 13-4 in Game 1 of the 2025 Region 18 Softball Tournament. The game was tied 4-4 after Snow scored three runs in the top of the third. The Bruins continued to hit and reclaimed the lead in the bottom of the third.
Salt Lake hit two home runs in the first, three home runs in the fourth inning, and one in the fifth. 2B Ellie Pond homered twice and 1B Taylor Lewis-Balzarini, RF Irma Medina, DP Taitumn Reynen, and 3B Makaila Schneider also went deep. C Hannah Barlow and LF Anya Coates both recorded RBI singles.
RHP Aubrie Hansen picked up the win for the Bruins throwing two scoreless innings in relief.
