WEST JORDAN, Utah- No. 15 SLCC Baseball pulled off another one run victory over USU-Eastern winning 8-7. Salt Lake is now (2-0) in the District Tournament and has advanced to the Championship Game.
RHP Darius Henderson recorded a five-out save after the Bruins took the lead in the top of the eighth. The Bruins scored three runs in the eighth and took their first lead after DH Kade Gambill hit an RBI single to break the 7-7 tie.
There were 26 hits in the entire game and none of them were home runs. The leadoff batter reached base in eleven of the eighteen half innings.
3B Taylor Ayala and LF Chandler Reber both went 4 for 5, scored three runs combined, and each recorded two RBI. Gambill and SS Jake Olsen both recorded two hits.
RHP Dan Brousseau tossed 2.1 innings in relief and picked up the win. Brousseau struck out two batters and allowed one run.

The Bruins will play in the District Tournament Championship Game at Cate Field in West Jordan, Utah. The Bruins play against Central Arizona on Saturday May, 17th at noon.
