LAS VEGAS, Nevada- Salt Lake Men's Basketball (7-7) defeated McCook Community College 80-74 at Day 2 of the Jerry Tarkanian Classic. 

Lantz Stephenson led the Bruins with a career-high 29 points. Stephenson was 11-19 from the floor and hit five three's. Lantz led the Bruins starters with 7 boards. 

Makuei Riek recorded 13 points for Salt Lake and PG Nick Jefferson posted a double-double with 11 points and 11 assists. 

Braden Heaton added 9 rebounds and 7 points off the bench for the Bruins. Salt Lake shot well from the free-throw line for the second straight game as the Bruins went 11-14 from the charity stripe. SLCC went 33-36 from the line this week.
