PRICE, UTAH- Salt Lake Men's Basketball (7-8) lost 78-72 to USU-Eastern (14-2) in their first SWAC game of the season. 

The Bruins led the Eagles by 12 points midway through the first half and went into the locker room up 34-30. 

Nick Jefferson led Salt Lake in the loss with 17 points, 7 steals, and 6 assists. Makuei Riek and Lantz Stephenson recorded 15 and 12 points respectively. SLCC shot well from deep as they went 11-28. As a team the Bruins went 17-20 from the line. Turnovers doomed Salt Lake as they committed 21 turnovers. USU-Eastern went 28-37 from the line and made enough free throws down the stretch to close out the game.
