Glendive, MONTANA- No. 11 SLCC Women's Basketball (4-1) owned the weekend in Montana as the Bruins went 3-0 at a tournament hosted by Dawson Community College.
Salt Lake beat Miles Community College (3-4) on Friday 95-59. Ahnica Russell-Brown and Tahys Da Silva led Salt Lake with 16 and points. The duo combined for nine made three-pointers. Oyinkansola Soetan and Maria Ignatchenko also netted double-figures with 12 points and ten points respectively.
The Bruins blew out Carroll College JV on Saturday 98-38. Ines Babaya bounced back and led the Bruins with 18 points and shot 8-11 from the field. As a team the Bruins shot 44-67 on FG's and had six players in double-figures.
Salt Lake defeated Dawson Community College (2-5) on Sunday morning 67-53. The Bruins were tied with the Buccaneers at the half 34-34 and pulled away with a strong second half. Ignatchenko led Sale Lake with 14 points and Russell-Brown chipped in eleven points. Salt Lake struggled from deep going 6-25, but recorded 32 points in the paint.
