No-hitter sets tone for No. 12 Bruins softball against Snow College

Shelbee Jones opens series with pitching gem

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (Thursday, March 21, 2024)— The No. 12 Salt Lake Bruins softball team took care of business against the visiting Snow College Badgers, sweeping the day one doubleheader at Norma Carr Softball Field.

Game One
SLCC 5 | Snow 0

Shelbee Jones opened the action with a no-hitter. Jones walked three and struck out seven in a seven-inning masterpiece. 

Lexie Shaver went 2-2 at the plate, leading the Bruins with two RBI in the win. 

Game Two
SLCC 11 | Snow 3

Tiffany Hermansen threw the second SLCC complete game of the day, helping the Bruins win their sixth straight. Hermansen gave up six hits and two earned runs while striking out five.

Three Bruins finished with two hits, led by Bailey Marvin's five-RBI day. The redshirt sophomore hit two home runs, extending her team lead to 13 bombs with 37 runs knocked in.

No. 12 SLCC hosts the Badgers in a second day of doubleheader action at Norma Carr Softball Field on Friday, March 22. First pitch is scheduled for noon MT.
