Game One
SLCC 2 | CSI 1
No. 17 CSI grabbed a first-inning lead with a solo homer off Bruins starter Shelbee Jones. The freshman phenom then settled in for a complete game win to open the series. Jones scattered six hits in seven innings while striking out 12 Golden Eagle batters.
Bailey Marvin singled and scored the tying run on a Jettlee Ioane double later in the fourth inning.
Miranda Mansfield singled home pinch-runner Brightyn Turner three innings later for the eventual game-winning run.
CSI loaded the bases with one out against Jones in the bottom of the seventh, but a strikeout and popout to shortstop ended the threat and gave SLCC its fifth straight win.
Game Two
SLCC 5 | CSI 18
The Golden Eagles responded to the game one loss by plating nine runs in the first inning of game two and never looking back. CSI built an 18-1 advantage before the Bruins scratched across four late runs to account for the final score.
Lexie Shaver led the way for Salt Lake at the plate, going 2-3 with a run scored and three RBI.
Game Three
SLCC 18 | CSI 10
