TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (Thursday, February 29, 2024) – No. 4 Salt Lake used a second-half surge to pull away from visiting Snow College for an 86-64 win that clinched the Scenic West Athletic Conference regular season title.
The Bruins end the regular season with a 27-3 record with a 12-2 mark in SWAC play.
Guard CJ Luster celebrated the sophomore night with four threes on his way to a game-high 24 points and three steals. Mason Bendinger came off the bench to add 11 points while Xavier Edmonds and Jordan Battle each scored 10. Battle added seven assists and five rebounds in the win.
SLCC finished with 12 steals and had 22 assists as a team on 32 made field goals.
The Bruins are set to host the Region 18 tournament on Thursday, March 8, with the Region 18 title game set for Friday, March 9 at Bruin Arena.
Salt Lake was 9-1 at home this season with its only loss coming to Utah State Eastern in late January.
