No. 18 Salt Lake suffers first SWAC loss at Southern Nevada

Bruins 17-game winning streak snapped

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (Saturday, February 24, 2024) – No. 18 Salt Lake saw its 17-game winning streak come to an end in a 76-72 loss at Southern Nevada.

It was the first loss for SLCC (21-5, 8-1) since November and the only Scenic West Athletic Conference game they have dropped this year.

Karina Grayer led the Bruins with 22 points, hitting six threes while playing all 40 minutes. Ines Gnahore came off the bench to score 16 points. Gnahore also registered team-highs with eight rebounds and five assists.

Salt Lake committed 19 turnovers in the loss.

No. 18 Salt Lake wraps up its regular season schedule when they host Snow College at Bruin Arena on Thursday, February 29. 

The Bruins have clinched the SWAC regular season crown and will host the Region 18 tournament at Bruin Arena March 15-16.
