No.10 Bruins beat North Idaho for sixth consecutive win

Dominant first half leads Salt Lake past Cardinals

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (Saturday, February 17, 2024) – No. 10 Salt Lake scored 51 first-half points on the way to an 87-73 win against North Idaho. 

The Bruins were on fire from deep in the opening 20 minutes, hitting eight threes to help build a 16-point lead at the break.

Four Bruins reached double-figure scoring, led by 19 points and two steals from redshirt freshman guard Zaon Collins. Jordan Battle hit four threes on his way to 16 points, while Bryce Zephir and Preston Squire each scored 13. 

The win puts the Bruins in the driver's seat for the Scenic West Athletic Conference regular season title and the right to host the Region 18 tournament March 8-9.

No. 10 Salt Lake looks for its seventh straight win when it hosts Community Christian College on Wednesday, February 21. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. (MT).
